Pat Glass MP opens new office in Consett
Pat Glass MP is delighted to announce that her new constituency office in Consett is now open. The new office contact details are as follows: Office Suite 2, Gledstone House, 26 Newmarket Street, Consett, Co Durham, DH8 5LQ. Tel: 01207 501 782 Fax: 01207 501 791. The office is open from 9.00am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday. From September 1st there will be an office open in Crook in the Civic Centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. PAT GLASS MP CONDEMNS COALITION’S CUTS TO LOCAL POLICING
This week Durham Constabulary issued letters to its 1,160-strong civilian workforce, including police community support officers, specialist analysts and crime scene investigators, advising that their posts are being considered for redundancy, as a result of cutbacks, and that the 90-day statutory consultation period had started. PAT GLASS MP ATTENDS SCHOOLS FUNDING PROTEST WITH LOCAL TEACHER
Yesterday afternoon Pat Glass MP attended the Save Our Schools protest rally in Westminster, organised by the teaching unions, with local teacher Mr Mark Edmundson from Consett Community Sports College. The rally was attended by hundreds of MPs, councillors, teachers, parents and school children who came to express their anger and disappointment at the Tory/Lib-Dem Coalition Government’s decision to axe Labour’s Building Schools for the Future programme.
