North West Durham CLP nominates David Miliband for Labour Leader
North West Durham CLP has voted to nominate David Miliband to be the next Leader of the Labour Party.
Local Members made their choice following a special meeting held in Wolsingham Methodist Church on Saturday 17th July 2010.
Members were addressed by representatives of some of the Leadership Campaign Teams.
Constituency Labour Parties can make a supportive nomination as part of the Leadership Election process. Members of the Labour Party, Trades Unionists and Members of affiliated social socities will all get an individual vote to elect the new Leader with the result being announced at Labour Party Conference in Manchester in September.
